Benton, Parkway, Bossier post victories as season gets underway

He allowed just one hit, walked only one and struck out eight. Airline’s opener against West Monroe was postponed. DeFatta went 3-for-5. Peyton Lewis had two doubles. Hayden Knotts had two hits, including a double. Landon Joyner, the Outstanding Pitcher on the 2019 All-Parish team, allowed four hits and struck out six in four innings to pick up the win. Cade Paddy went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Timms went 2-3. Dane Stearns had a double. Cameron Ross had three RBI. At Evangel, the Tigers scored eight runs in the top of the sixth.
