first_imgKolkata: Techno India has proposed to set up an eco-tourism resort in Gajoldoba.Satyam Roy Chowdhury, managing director of Techno India, submitted the proposal to set up the Eco Tourism resort to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday. Banerjee opened the new tourist spot at Gajoldoba, renamed by her as Bhorer Alo, at a function on Wednesday.Techno India will also set up a centre for the local youths where training will be given on hospitality and hotel management. The place has river, snow capped mountain and forest and “is an ideal place to set up an eco-tourism centre,” he said.He said the hospitality industry will have a bright prospect and local youths will be given training on the same. This in return will help them to secure jobs.It may be mentioned that in Jhargram, where a number of new hotels and resorts have come up, local youths have been given training in hospitality business as well and they are doing well. Also, local youths are managing the motels that have been set up by the state Housing department quite efficiently.Bhorer Alo has been the dream of Mamata Banerjee. Hotels will come up soon in the area and it is going to be a star tourist attraction in North Bengal.last_img
